Ah, video games. Nothing is more fun and kills more time than video games. 
If you're under 40, it's likely you've been playing video games all your life, and you are still playing them. I don't imagine playing catch with my son, I imagine teaching him how to camp and congratulating him on his first bitching headshot.
The first video game I played was Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo Entertainment System. I spent so much time on that game, finding the warps to leves 4, 5 and 6 and watching the amazing eponymous movie. Mario Bros. 2 was kinda crazy, with the princess and "Legs Luigi", but SMB 3 was epic.
Then Half Life came out, and all I wanted to do was play TFC and Counter Strike. Then the Orange Box came out -- the greatest deal in video game history -- and Portal blew my fucking monkey tits out.
I mean, the cake is a lie and that little AI voice over was hilarious. The puzzles were great and game mechanics really bent your mind, like Matrix-spoon style bending.
Half Life 2 was just as great, but then Left4Dead came out and redefined how fun killing zombies really is. Awesome kills, great maps, good onslaughts, the works. And nothing beats having that asshole on your team who thinks it's hilarious to shoot the police car when they get slimed by the fatties.
